DMJCCA is committed to maintaining a transparent and fair process for membership applications, events, workshops, training programs, conferences, and other paid services. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances under which payments may be refunded, canceled, or retained.
- Membership Application & Processing Fees
- Membership-related fees, where applicable, may cover administrative processing, application review, credential verification, background/identity screening, database registration, documentation, and membership ID card processing.
- Payment of a fee does not automatically guarantee membership approval. Every application remains subject to DMJCCA’s eligibility requirements and verification procedures.
- Where membership has been approved and the applicable digital or physical membership ID/certificate has been issued, the applicable membership/processing fee shall generally be non-refundable and non-transferable, except where a refund is specifically required under applicable law or expressly approved by DMJCCA.
- Membership fees paid by one individual or entity cannot ordinarily be transferred to another person.
- Members are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and genuine information and documents at the time of application.
- Rejected Membership Applications
- If an application is rejected because the applicant does not meet the applicable eligibility criteria or fails to provide required documentation, DMJCCA may, at its discretion, initiate a partial refund where the application has not progressed to the stage of final approval or issuance.
- In such cases, DMJCCA may deduct reasonable administrative and payment-processing expenses, up to 20% of the applicable fee, where permitted by applicable law.
- No refund shall be due where the relevant service or processing has already been substantially completed.
- Applications involving fraudulent documents, impersonation, forged credentials, false declarations, fake identities, or deliberate misrepresentation may be rejected and the amount paid may be forfeited without refund, subject to applicable law.
- Cancellation or Withdrawal of Membership
- A member may voluntarily resign from DMJCCA by submitting a written cancellation/resignation request through the officially registered email or other designated communication channel.
- Voluntary cancellation does not ordinarily create an entitlement to a refund of membership or processing fees already paid.
- No pro-rata refund shall ordinarily be provided for any unused portion of a membership period.
- Where membership is suspended, canceled, or terminated because of violation of DMJCCA’s Code of Ethics, membership rules, applicable law, fraudulent conduct, misuse of membership credentials, or other disciplinary grounds, the member shall generally not be entitled to a refund.
- Termination of membership does not remove any financial, legal, or other obligations that arose before the effective date of cancellation.
- Event, Workshop, Training & Summit Registrations
- For paid events, workshops, training programs, seminars, conferences, summits, or similar activities, a participant may request cancellation by contacting DMJCCA through the designated official communication channel.
- Cancellation requests received 7 days or more before the scheduled event date may be eligible for an 80% refund, subject to applicable payment-processing charges and the specific terms communicated at the time of registration.
- Cancellation requests received less than 7 days before the scheduled event will generally be non-refundable.
- Failure to attend a registered event, workshop, training program, or conference (no-show) will generally not qualify for a refund.
- Where a registration is expressly marked as non-refundable at the time of purchase, those specific terms will apply.
- Transfer of an event registration to another person may be permitted only with prior written approval from DMJCCA and may be subject to verification or administrative requirements.
- Cancellation, Postponement or Rescheduling by DMJCCA
- DMJCCA reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, modify, or change the venue or format of an event, workshop, training program, conference, or summit due to administrative, operational, technical, regulatory, safety, force majeure, or other circumstances.
- If an event is canceled by DMJCCA and no alternative date or equivalent arrangement is offered, eligible registered participants may receive a 100% refund of the applicable registration amount.
- If an event is postponed or rescheduled, DMJCCA may offer participants the option to attend the rescheduled event instead of receiving a refund, depending on the circumstances and terms communicated to participants.
- Where a refund is approved following cancellation by DMJCCA, it will ordinarily be processed within 7–10 business days.
- Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will generally be processed through the original payment method used for the transaction, such as bank account, UPI, debit card, credit card, or the applicable payment gateway.
- DMJCCA will not ordinarily process refunds to an unrelated third-party account unless required or permitted by applicable law.
- The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or financial institution.
- DMJCCA generally aims to process approved refunds within 7–10 business days after the refund has been authorized.
- Payment Gateway & Transaction Charges
Where a refund is permitted, payment gateway charges, transaction fees, convenience fees, banking charges, or other non-recoverable third-party charges may be deducted where applicable and legally permissible.
Any applicable deductions will be communicated to the applicant/member/participant where reasonably practicable.
- Duplicate or Incorrect Payments
- If a member or applicant accidentally makes a duplicate payment for the same service, they should notify DMJCCA as soon as possible.
- After verification of the duplicate transaction, DMJCCA may process the eligible excess payment for refund, subject to applicable transaction or payment-processing charges.
- Refunds arising from duplicate transactions will generally be returned to the original payment source.
- Failed or Pending Transactions
- If an amount has been debited from a user’s bank account or payment instrument but the corresponding DMJCCA transaction is shown as failed, pending, or unsuccessful, the user should contact DMJCCA with the transaction reference/UTR number and relevant payment details.
- DMJCCA will verify the transaction status with the applicable payment gateway or financial institution.
- Where the payment was unsuccessful and the amount is subsequently reversed by the payment provider, the reversal will be governed by the applicable banking/payment-system timelines.
- Non-Refundable Services and Expenses
Unless expressly stated otherwise, payments for services that have already been fully delivered, customized, processed, issued, or substantially completed may not be eligible for a refund.
This may include, where applicable:
- Completed verification services
- Issued membership IDs or certificates
- Customized documents or materials
- Completed training or workshops
- Services already substantially delivered
- Administrative services already performed

Refund or cancellation requests should be submitted through the official DMJCCA communication channel and should include:

- Registered email address
- Contact details
- Membership/application/registration number, if applicable
- Date and amount of payment
- Transaction ID/UTR/payment reference
- Reason for cancellation or refund request

- Fraudulent or Unauthorized Transactions
DMJCCA reserves the right to investigate suspected fraudulent, unauthorized, manipulated, or deceptive transactions.
Where fraud, misuse, identity theft, chargeback abuse, or deliberate misrepresentation is reasonably established, the relevant application, membership, registration, or service may be suspended or canceled, subject to applicable law.
- Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Members and applicants are requested to contact DMJCCA before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback where the issue can reasonably be resolved through the association’s refund process.
Nothing in this policy prevents any person from exercising rights available to them under applicable law or through their bank, payment provider, consumer forum, or other competent authority.
- Policy Amendments
DMJCCA reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, operational procedures, payment systems, or applicable legal requirements.
The updated policy will be published on the official website where appropriate. The version applicable to a transaction will generally be the version in effect at the time of that transaction, unless otherwise required by law.
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This policy shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India. Any dispute relating to refunds, cancellations, payments, or services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts/authorities as applicable.
- Important Note
This Refund & Cancellation Policy should be read together with DMJCCA’s Membership Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Code of Ethics, and other applicable policies published by the association.
Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the mandatory legal requirement shall prevail.
